Last night’s CBS News/National Journal debate was mainly focused on foreign policy.

But behind the scenes it was focused on shaping who the mainstream media, and in this case, CBS in particular, wanted you to hear from – or not hear from.

In a leaked memo, it appears that CBS was planning on shutting down Michelle Bachmann from the beginning. Bachman is on the House Intelligence Committee which is charged with the oversight of the United States Intelligence Community. Bachmann touts this position as her key insight into foreign policy.

However, Keith Nahigian, who is Bachmann’s campaign manager, posted on their Facebook page an email exchange between John Dickerson, CBS New’s political director, and correspondent Caroline Horn. Continue reading Why we can’t trust the Mainstream Media
