One of our editors pointed out yesterday an interesting website aimed at destroying the “Tea Party” movement. Billing itself with a website called www.crashtheteaparty.org the goal is to “dismantle the Tea Party by any non-violent means necessary.” They claim they are a” nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are all sick and tired of that loose affilation of racists, homophobes, and morons’ who constitute the fake grass-roots movement which calls itself the “Tea Party”.”
Upon further investigation the Ohio Free Press found out that the website is registered to a Ben Franklin of Philadelphia, PA – a jab at the Tea Party group while maintaining a sense of humor and anonymity for their website since they don’t want any of those loosely affiliated “morons” contacting them – including news media trying to get more information on the story. Tracking this down Ohio Free Press found that the domain is supposedly registered to a S. Lamonsoff located in Langhorne, PA. Upon calling the phone number it went straight to a recorded message saying that the occupants were not home. Apparently they are getting more than a few phone calls regarding this website. It is unsure whether or not the phone number listed is actually the real website owner’s phone number. The physical website is located in Burlington, MA and appears to be a standard ISP hosting location.
The “Crash the Tea Party” call to arms is to infiltrate the Tea Party and act on behalf of the Tea Party. These “party crashers” plan on attempting to do this by exaggerating the lesser appealing qualities that include misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews to help further try to portray the party participants as the “wackos” that the mainstream media and far left wing political activists believe the Tea Party represents. This is a tactical maneuver designed to sway the public opinion against the Tea Party to try and give the impression they are the racists and homophobes that is often portrayed by the mainstream media.
As of Saturday morning – just a couple of days after the news of this website leaked out, there were 251 topics with 1485 posts on their website. There were many posts from both sides such as:
| John Wayne: “Here we go with another underhanded trick by underhanded tricksters – the socialist democrats. If you can not make valid points and win with ideas you use subterfuge. Shameless bunch of leeching sheep.”
U.S. Marine said: “This site is one of the biggest JOKES I’ve ever seen. It figures that it would be run by America hating leftists who don’t have the brains to actually debate anyone who has an opposing point of view. They have to try to shut them down instead. I’m sure glad to know that I risked my life in Iraq for two years defending the right of these people to be intolerant narrow minded MORONS who can’t even spell the simplest of words. All I can say is the same as many other have already said. If you want to TRY to crash the Tea Parties, BRING IT. We’ll be waiting for you with handcuffs and Police vans. LOSERS!!” Luciferinus wrote: “My lord lucifer is behin this anti tea party movement. He can not fail. W e will destroy your so called liberty movement and put our facsist lord forever on his throne |
With the political fallout from the 2008 presidential election, the rapid movement and expansion of the Federal governments power, and the passage of Obamacare the 2010 fall elections are going to be quite a party in itself. Tensions are high and it seems that websites such as this and those in political power have awoken a sleeping giant that they viewed as a dead opossum. Unfortunately for the “crashers”, the Ohio Free Press has attended events and talked with the people involved in these Tea Parties. We have found that these portrayals by websites like Crashtheteaparty.org and much of the mainstream news media’s are about as far from the truth as the North Pole is from the South Pole.
Think Mom, baseball and apple pie. Though every movement (both on the left and right) have their share of bad apples which can ruin any pie, the Tea Party seems to be more American than those such as the creator of this website portray themselves to be by their own statements about lying, cheating and manipulating to get what they want. People like this are just a bunch of bad apples trying to spoil the Tea Party’s ship storming that is setting sail for Washington D.C. in 2010.
