A coalition of several non-partisan grassroots groups is gearing up to help citizens to become informed about the candidates in the upcoming 18th District Congressional race. In November, the office for the 18th US Congressional District, currently held by Democrat Zack Space, will be up for election. “We want to bring out all of the candidates–including Zack Space– so that the people can make an informed decision,” says Jason Mihalick, an Ohio Liberty Council Board Member. “We are finding more every day that folks want to be involved and they want to know more about who they are voting for and why. These Candidate Nights will give everyone a prime opportunity to learn about the people they’ll be seeing on the ballot, and what those people plan to do if they are elected.”
Four meetings will take place in various locations in Space’s 18th District beginning in early March until the primaries in May: Zanesville, Mt. Vernon, Dover and Chillicothe. Certified candidates from all parties, including Space, will be invited to participate. All meetings will be free of charge and open to the public.
Mihalick says he is eager to get the information out and get answers to the questions voters are asking about all of the candidates. The Ohio Liberty Council’s website for these events is http://www.ohio18.com/.
